gorgeous hotel, all we needed for a short break in hericourt-en-caux. the staff were amicable and excellent during our whole stay. the location of the property was particularly good and stunning, on a river with views over the countryside. plus, it was close to the durdent valley, restaurant and bakery and grocery.

The staff was amiable and excellent and made me feel at home. The rooms were big equipped with a fabulous bathroom, TV, as for instance. The food was delicious and I loved slices of fresh bread and pastries...

The staff were great and amicable people. Slices of fresh bread and pastries were a nice touch. - the hotel was just next door to a restaurant and Normandy. - It was located by the river in a quiet village.

This hotel is lovely. The accommodation was clean and very comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We had the menu of the day for lunch and it was the best meal we had in France. The grounds are lovely with friendly ducks and fish in the river. Fields surround the hotel with Normandy cows and chickens which sounds noisy but it isn't it was so tranquil and peaceful. There is not much to do in the village so a car is essential. The coast is about half an hour away and Disneyland Paris about two hours. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

The view here was amazing, with a nice river right in front. Stayed in a fancy suite with a cool work desk, a TV with lots of channels, and a cozy spot to relax. 🌊

We loved the outside spa bath.
Not really a complaint, but we really missed having tea making facilities in the room. This has been available to us in other hotels we have stayed in.

The setting of the Auberge was lovely on the river, with a pretty terrace and garden...the rooms were comfortable with both a bedroom with a very large double bed and a sitting room and were more like adjoined chalets. ( 6 of them only I think ) The room had a deck to step out from that gave lovely views and a great aspect. The manager who I presume was also the owner was very pleasant and accomodating and spoke some English which he liked to use. The hotel had a good, well sited restaurant which, even though in quite an isolated village, was well attended by local French people and the food was varied as were the wines and food was locally sourced. The chef was Thai so the French food had an interesting and delicious twist on occasions. We had a good stay and if in the area would probably return but had some misgivings. Breakfast was good but extra. Certainly a better bet than staying at nearby Yvetot.
The fittings in the room felt flimsy.and the overall decor could have been better finished off...the bathroom was very small in contrast to the living accomodation but did have a spa bath with a shower over..shower was fine . The auberge advertised itself as a spa but although we did not want or ask for the spa facilities they looked poor . There was no hairdryer in the room and although the Auberge advertised itself as being as sustainable as possible , I did not feel this was adequate reason not to provide decent toiletries at the price. The price of the room per night we thought was a lot for the standard provided (as contrasted with our other most expensive room this holiday which was much below the Auberge rate ) although the setting and the on site restaurant did make up for a lot.

The location was so beautiful - a brook runs through the property and cows graze lazily in a nearby field. The service is intimate as the hotel is quite small. The proprietor ensured that we had food prepared specially for us as we are lactose-intolerant. Our expectations were exceeded.
